CURRENT: I am a middle school teacher at Short Pump Middle School in Richmond, VA.
PREVIOUS: (2009-2011) I was a middle school teacher at the Kihei Charter School in Maui, HI.
(2007-2009) I was the Video and Music Teacher at the Chelsea School in Silver Spring, MD. At Chelsea, I coached track, facilitated the after-school student band and movie club, was the school's webmaster, and won the "Rookie of the Year" Award.
(2002-2007) I was the Information Systems Assistant at The Gynecologic Oncology Group where I maintained the company's website, handled various graphics work, and videographed the company's meetings.
Education
GRADUATE: (2009) I graduated from Trinity University in Washington, DC with an MAT (Master's of Arts) in Teaching for Special Education. This degree included the formation of my professional teaching portfolio.
UNDERGRAD: (2006) I graduated with honors from The University of the Arts with a BFA (Bachelor's of Fine Arts) in Writing for Film and Television (screenwriting) and a minor in Narrative Video Production. I was the College of Media and Communication's Valedictorian. I also won the Rod Serling Faculty Award for my department of study. I peer tutored, was awarded the Presidential Merit Scholarship, and was on the student/faculty board for the University's initial Web/TV station.
