Professionally, I am a Video and Music Teacher at Chelsea School in Silver Spring, MD (www.chelseaschool.edu). Previously, I did videography work for The Gynecologic Oncology Group (www.gog.org). I shot, edited, and produced DVDs for meetings and confrences. Go here for more information regarding this.

I was also a Screenwriting major and Narrative Video Production Minor at the University of the Arts, where I made two short films and created many smaller exercises. I also worked on independent features (ex: BTA) and other film projects including the National 48 Hour Film festival. In addition, I have shot weddings and concerts.

From these and other miscellaneous projects, I have an extensive knowledge of filmmaking/videography on both the technical and creative sides.

Now that I am teaching, I have had to discontinue most of my independent ventures, but if you have a need for professional video work in the MD/DC area (in any aspect of video making: shooting, sound, writing, editing, etc.), contact me at breathingunderwater@hotmail.com and I can hopefully help you out, time allowing.

Documentaries

IRELAND (2008)

My mother, father, and I traveled across Ireland from March 17 to March 24, 2008. It was an amazing trip. I shot this with my little Handicam and edited it on Final Cut Pro.

NOVA SCOTIA (2007)

My father and I traveled across Nova Scotia, Canada from July 30 to August 7, 2007. I never intended to make a movie when we set out, but once I started shooting video with my cheap little point-and-shoot digital camera, I thought why not?

Most of the content is a collection of photos we took. This video inspired me to buy a real video camera for my travels.

GOOD SAMARITAN ORPHANAGE, TANZANIA (2006)

These are short documentaries meant to raise awareness and support for the Good Samaritan Orphanage in Mbeya, Tanzania.

I shot the interview footage of Rev. Dr. Robert Mbinda and Miriam Mbinda, the heads of the orphanage, and members of Holy Cross Church, in Winter Haven, Florida.

The first piece was edited by Trey Fales. I edited the second. The orphanage footage was shot in Mbeya, Tanzania.
